If you're looking for a particular size, colour palette, or subject, I am happy to work with you to create a unique custom artwork. I will fill the piece to the brim with motifs that reflect you or your subject choice.

I can create my signature small squares with the icons that resonate with you personally. Whether singers like Amy Winehouse or Al Green, writers like Virginia Woolf or Philip Larkin, artists, athletes, or performers, I create distinctive, one of a kind, custom work based on your interests.

I also have a line of personal square foot artworks called All About You. These feature you, your loved one, a couple, or a pet, and are an unusual portrait or souvenir. I do some detective work and ask you some questions to make sure I layer in symbols and subjects that reflect you, your relationship, or your loved one. These portraits make a great surprise gift! They are also a meaningful memorial to commemorate someone special in a different way.

"Words cannot express what a joy it was working with Lorette! She made the entire process from start to finish a breeze! I moved to a new apartment and was looking to commission a piece of original art for my wall. I wasn’t sure what I wanted and liked the mixed media  style of Lorette’s work. I first saw her work on Etsy and reached out to inquire. She sent me this fun quiz with various questions to answer so that she could get a better feel for my personality , lifestyle , etc. I really enjoyed answering it! We discussed a few aesthetics related to my colour preferences, size and pricing. I selected a few styles of artwork that spoke to me. Then,  I just left it up to her!  I did send her a few files of images that I really liked that she might consider including. (She did!) Usually I’m the type of person who likes to know everything but it felt freeing to just leave the decisions up to the artist! ... Lorette was also very helpful in helping me figure out the most economical way to ship the art piece.  She worked very quickly and from start to finish I think it was only a few months. When the piece arrived I couldn’t have been more pleased! It was everything I’d hoped for and more!!! We Built This City, 30x72, mixed media on gallery canvas. This was specially made for a couple in Northern Ontario who wanted something in the style of the abstract cityscapes I make, with the theme of music for their record room. They wanted a masculine palette that was distinctive but neutral. All of the collage layers reference their favourite singers, albums, and songs.

For Rebecca, with Love, 24x24", mixed media on gallery canvas. This work commemorates the clients parents, tributes her family and faith, and includes symbolic homage to her hobbies, history, and relationships.

Music, 12x12", mixed media on canvas. This was created to capture the life force of rock and roll, to commemorate a special friendship bonded by music, and as a tribute to Jimmy Page.

Angels and Demons: Johnny Cash, 12x12", mixed media on canvas. This was created for a client who loves Johnny Cash and wanted a painting that symbolised a turning point for her from darkness into light. She wanted the piece to be about the song "Hurt."

How Much Better is Silence, 12x12", mixed media on canvas. This was created for a UK client who loves Viriginia Woolf and her story, The Waves. The apple tree, moon, bird, etc are symbols from her literature. The writing in the waves is from the book and from her goodbye letter in her own handwriting. The flower in her hair is from the hedges growing around her childhood home.

Rhiannon, 12x12", mixed media on canvas. This piece was created for a client who loves Stevie Nicks, especially the song "Rhiannon" and "Gypsy." She wanted a dominant purple to symbolism divinity and magic. The rose is Stevie's favourite flower, and the moon and white bird are motifs from her songs. The cat is another motif, and also an essential aspect of the client's life and work. The 17 references Stevie's song, "Edge of Seventeen." I coloured Stevie's hair red in surprise tribute to the client who loves redheads. The purple flowers are Bella Donna, a reference to Stevie's witchy iconography and the title of one of her albums and songs.

Dave Grohl, 12x12", mixed media on canvas. This piece was commissioned by a client for his friend who loves the Foo Fighters. She also loves Dias de los Muertos, the Mexican celebration of life and death, and I was asked to combine the two if I could. The friend's favourite colour is purple.

A Cherishing So Deep, 24x30", mixed media on gallery canvas. This was created in a palette of blue and pink to give an urban twist to a French and country decor. All of the layers of collage reference the client's favourite artists, poems, interests, songs, and life history.
